New York State Unclaimed Funds Agency is a company operating in New York for the purpose of assisting corporations, businesses, people, attorneys and estates in locating funds that were previously unknown to them. Through our efforts you or your corporation will be able to recover money that you never thought belonged to you or were unable to find.

We are a private “Abandoned Property Location Service Provider” as described on the New York State comptroller's office website. As such, we strictly adhere to their requirements and procedures.

New York State Unclaimed Funds Agency is headed by Avram Shapiro. In the beginning of his career, he pursued a path towards being an actuary and took some of the exams successfully. Dr. Shapiro is now a retired surgeon and in the past 15 years has done practice management for medical practices in New York City. In addition to helping other professionals, he managed a busy radiology practice.
